Oropesa del Mar has the most readable system on the Costa del Azahar: the blue zone is solo de verano (1 July to 10 September) and it lives where the pressure is: the seafront promenades at La Concha, El Mediterrani and Torre del Rei, the car parks at plaza París y de la Gola, Columbretes and avenida del Far. Everything else — the old town, the inland car parks, Marina d’Or with its open lots — is free all year round.
Where to park for free in Oropesa del Mar
Orpesa’s blue zone is purely seasonal — 1 July to 10 September — and it’s concentrated on the promenades. These car parks are outside it, and free.
Option 2: Carrer Peníscola car park (Morro de Gos)
For Morro de Gos beach, the long one to the north. Outside the regulated core.

Option 3: Avinguda Central car park (Marina d’Or)
The one on avenida Central, in the Marina d’Or area. It’s the furthest from the old town but it’s what solves the northern half, and there’s plenty of room outside the August peaks.

The one in the les Amplàries area, along the northern stretch of coast. This is the option for that beach and the apartment district, with less competition for space than the central ones.

Option 1: Plaça de París car park (regulated)
The regulated car park next to plaza París, a step from La Concha. In season it falls under the scheme, with season tickets at €15 a week, €25 a fortnight and €40 a month: if you’re here for a fortnight’s holiday, it pays for itself.

The summer blue zone, street by street
From 1 July to 10 September, every day from 11:00 to 21:00 (season, hours and app confirmed by the council), you pay on: the passeig marítim de la Conxa, el passeig marítim del Mediterrani, el passeig de la Torre del Rei, the plaza París and its car park, the avenida de les Columbretes, the plaza Mallorca, the avenida del Far y el La Gola car park — all drawn on the map with their real shape. The hourly tariff is set by the machine; the trick for anyone staying a while is the official season tickets: €15 a week, €25 a fortnight, €40 a month. Se paga con monedas o con la app EasyPark; the service is run by JUJOSA (office on carrer Eliamar). Residents and businesses can apply for a free permit.
Outside those dates — and outside those streets all year — parking in Orpesa costs nothing. The signs on each stretch are what count.

Marina d’Or and La Gola: the northern half
Marina d’Or works like a town of its own: dense in August, but with two escape valves that hardly ever fail — the car park on avinguda Central (≈4,300 m², free) and the one at les Amplàries next to the northern beach. Between Marina d’Or and Morro de Gos, the open lot at Gola is the big seasonal car park: regulated in summer, but roomy and a step from both beaches. Local advice: if you’re coming for the day in August, “La Gola car park + ticket or season pass” usually beats circling in search of a free space.
Where is it easy (and where hard) to park?
- 🔴 The La Concha and Mediterrani promenades in July-August: blue zone 11 to 21 and demand at its peak. Torre Paquita, and walk.
- 🟠 Marina d’Or in August: dense — go straight to avinguda Central or les Amplàries.
- 🟢 The old town and inland: outside the scheme all year round.
- 🟢 From 11 September to 30 June: the blue zone disappears and the whole of Orpesa is free.
Where to park depending on your plan
For La Concha beach
Torre Paquita (free, 5-8 minutes away) or the plaza París car park if you want to pay for a spot right by the beach. In winter, the whole promenade is yours.
For Morro de Gos
The carrer Peníscola car park two streets away, or La Gola at the northern end. The Mediterrani promenade is blue zone in summer.
For Marina d’Or and les Amplàries
Avinguda Central or les Amplàries, both free. If the resort is bursting, La Gola is a 10-minute walk away.
For the old town and the castle
The old town is outside the scheme: park nearby or at Torre Paquita and walk up. The streets up there are narrow: better on foot.
For Orpesa la Vella and La Renegà
The cove has its own seasonal car park by the access road; for La Renegà, the lay-bys on avenida del Far (blue zone in summer) and then the pine wood on foot.
