While its neighbours (Benidorm, Altea, la Vila) charge for parking, l’Alfàs del Pi turned free parking into official policy: the council declares itself a “town with no blue zone” and counts 2,842 free spaces across 22 car parks. Where to park for free in Albir and l’Alfàs del Pi
L’Alfàs del Pi officially declares itself a town with no blue zone, and makes a point of it: 2,842 free spaces counted between the old town and Albir. These are the four that work best.
Option 2: Albir main car park (Ruperto Chapí)
Around 7,400 m² five minutes from Albir beach: the first choice on the coast and the one most people head for.

For the old town, the Friday market and the Casa de Cultura. The village is three kilometres from the beach, so they’re two separate outings.

“Town with no blue zone”: the official policy
It isn’t an absence: it’s a decision. El Ayuntamiento de l’Alfàs del Pi se declara oficialmente «municipio sin zona azul» y lo presenta como atractivo para residentes y visitantes, con un censo público de 2,842 free spaces: 1,462 in the town itself and 1,380 in Albir, spread across 22 public car parks. The mayor summed it up in the press: “as long as I am mayor, l’Alfàs will not have a blue zone”. For a visitor it translates simply: there are no ticket machines here — only the signs on each individual street.
The lighthouse walk (and its bottleneck)
The walk out to the Albir lighthouse — 2.5 km of surfaced track along the north face of the Serra Gelada, pushchair-friendly — is the town’s big draw. The catch: the parking del arranque (at the end of camí vell del Far) is small and in season it’s gone by early morning. Plan B, no drama: leave the car in the Albir car parks and add a 15-minute walk — which happens to be the prettiest stretch of the villa district. On the way back, the Paseo de las Estrellas and its Mediterranean Hollywood is waiting with the terraces open.

The car park at the trailhead if you’re up early; if not, the Albir car parks and a 15-minute walk through the villas.
For the village and the Friday market
Either of the two car parks in the old town. On Friday mornings, the north one usually breathes easier.
For dinner on the Paseo de las Estrellas
Albir south and walk: on summer evenings the seafront fills up, but 300 m back there’s always a space — free, like everything here.

Reserved disabled bays by the beach, the promenade and the old town (RD 1056/2014). The lighthouse route is accessible and there are disabled bays in its car park. Always display the card. A UK blue badge is recognised in Spain.
