The Benissa parking map: old town and coves
Benissa is playing two different games. In the casco antiguo parking is easy almost all year: there are several free car parks less than a 5-minute walk from the historic centre, and only the shopping streets (País Valencià, Carrer Nou) are blue zone. The costa is another story: the coves along the Paseo Ecológico (Fustera, Advocat, Pinets) have small car parks and in summer they’re full before 10 in the morning.
Where to park for free in Benissa
Benissa spreads it about: five car parks around the old town, all free and less than seven minutes away, and then the coves, which are a different world. Remember that the shopping streets are blue zone.
Option 2: Avinguda de la Constitució car park
Another 3,700 m² next to the centre: the easy option for visiting the old town, which is all stone and well worth the walk.

Option 3: North clearing by the old town
The town’s biggest car park, around 6,100 m². If you’re coming during the fiestas or on market day, head straight here.

Around 80 spaces right by the sand, and that number tells you everything: in August it’s full from 9:30. The real alternative is the summer Benibús, which links the old town with the coves.

Very limited street parking, full before ten in summer. If you’re not up early, don’t even try: these are small coves with narrow access.

The southern cove, with a car park of its own. Same advice: early or not at all, because the access road is long and narrow and turning round is agony.

Benissa’s blue zone: hours and where it is
Yes, Benissa does have regulated parking on its shopping streets: the Avinguda del País Valencià, el Carrer Nou y el Carrer Pare Andrés Ivars are blue zone (maximum 2 hours), and the Plaça Germans Ivars car park is a green zone with more leeway: up to 5 hours in the morning or 4 in the afternoon. You pay at the machine or with the ElParking.

Where is it easy (and where impossible) to park?
Turn on the “How hard it is” on the map to see it drawn in:
- 🔴 The coves in summer: Fustera, Advocat and Pinets fill up before 10:00 from July to September. Plan B: El Baladrar, or an early start.
- 🟠 The old town on Saturday market day: the centre only gets awkward that one morning.
- 🟢 The old town car parks: over 15,000 m² of free space around the centre. Easy nearly always.

Where to park depending on your plan
For the old town and the Puríssima Xiqueta
The Avda. de la Constitució or Escola Manuel Bru car parks: free and a 5-minute walk. On weekdays you can park on the street without any trouble too.
For Cala Fustera and the Paseo Ecológico
The Fustera car park is the natural base for the Paseo Ecológico. In summer, arrive before 10:00 — after that, better El Baladrar, or park in the old town and use the summer Benibús , which links the town with the coves.
For Advocat and Pinets
Street parking is very scarce. In season, consider parking at Fustera and walking in along the Paseo Ecológico (15-20 minutes beside the sea).

Frequently asked questions
Is parking in Benissa free?
Almost all of it, yes: the old town car parks and the coves are free. The exception is the shopping streets (Avda. País Valencià, Carrer Nou and Pare Andrés Ivars), which are blue zone with a 2-hour maximum, and the Plaça Germans Ivars car park (green zone, 4-5 h). On Sundays and public holidays everything is free.
Where do I park for the Paseo Ecológico?
The classic option is the Cala Fustera car park, right by one of the access points. In summer, arrive before 10:00; if it’s full, El Baladrar (at the southern end) usually has space and also connects to the route. In July and August the council’s Benibús also runs between the old town and the coves.
And on Saturday, with the market on?
The centre is closed off and fills up in the morning. Park at the Avda. de la Constitució car park or Escola Manuel Bru and walk 5 minutes.
Can I park at the coves in a motorhome?
The cove car parks are small and some have height restrictions or specific signage. We’re still checking the exact conditions for motorhomes on the ground.
